Remarks:
Phelmarith is a healer who heals anyone who needs it, which makes him more or less equally popular and unpopular. His services are not free, but he allows everyone as much time as they need to pay him back. Phelmarith can heal patients directly using his healing magic, and he also produces healing slime from his tentacles. The slime is not particularly potent in its raw state, but can be refined into healing potions by alchemists.
Phelmarith's home is hidden in a swamp and accessible only by invitation. The surrounding area is magically altered so that attempting to walk through it without a guide will lead you to a random point on the area's perimeter. The swamp is populated by floating globes of light created by Phelmarith, through which he can speak to visitors seeking to enter his home. If he permits you to enter, one of the spheres will lead you the right way.
Phelmarith was born with vestigial wings, and had them amputated when his tentacles started coming through and the wings got in their way. Phelmarith is a little bigger than average for a rathameldhontel, because he managed to devour all of his clutch-mates at birth. (This is not as horrific as it sounds: rathameldhontel are born as incorporeal wisps of magic and become corporeal after a few hours.)
